Chris Hemsworth, Matt Damon party in Byron Bay

Hollywood A-listers Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth were photographed in Byron Bay over the weekend, heading out to celebrate their friend Paul O' Brien’s birthday.

The group were spotted heading in to The Beach restaurant in Byron Bay, with a crew that included US billionaire Ted Waitts and his wife Michelle Merkin, Damon and wife Luciana Barosso, locals Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, and Chris’ brother Luke with his wife Samantha.

Chris and Matt’s bromance is well-documented at this point, with the two bankable Hollywood stars regularly holidaying with their respective families.

It’s a month since Chris and brother Liam were seen enjoying some down time with their famous friends on the Greek island of Mykonos, partying with Damon, O’Brien and others at a private mansion.

The Hemsworths also celebrated their dad Craig’s 68th birthday while on the island.

Aviation boss O’Brien and his partner, radio host Lauren Phillips, announced their engagement last week.

Phillips has in the past spoken about what it’s like to party with her A-list friends on her KIIS radio program, Jase & Lauren in the Morning.

“They are just normal people,” she said told co-host Jase Hawkins.

When asked what she brings when invited over, Lauren said she takes what she usually brings when invited to any friends’ house.

“I would take some wine,” she said. “I would take exactly the same value of wine to the Hemsworths as I would take to the Hawkins.”
